Back-to-Back Setbacks for Manchester United

This outcome marked back-to-back Women's Super League losses for Skinner's side for the first time since May 2024, leaving them seven points off the table toppers with their title hopes severely dented.

Second Half

Former City player Park came nearest, striking the woodwork, but the away team were creatively abject and were unable to record a solitary shot on target.

The hosts, on the other hand, could have increased their lead when a superb Vivianne Miedema long ball sent Shaw away only for her to fluff her lines but it was insignificant to the hosts. After failing to defeat any side who placed above them the previous campaign, the manager's side now have wins against Arsenal and Manchester United to position them in a commanding standing after the opening fixtures.
