I'll overwhelm 'legitimate fighter' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight round match which will be broadcast live on Netflix.

British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the two fighters met personally to publicize the upcoming bout.

Former twice world title holder Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive mismatch - at Miami Kaseya Center on 19 December.

Fighter's Attitude

"I'm going to break his face and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.

"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I'm going to seriously aim to injure him. That's what I want to do."

Civil Interaction

In spite of such comments, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - usually famous for his showmanship - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.

Paul rather criticized former Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian turned down a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at British rival Fury - and rejected a large bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer stated.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Fighter

Despite declaring he will punish Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to speak negatively about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he stated.

Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.

He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in last year.

Commercial Attraction

Still, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of the sport's greatest money-making draws, consistently making massive earnings.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28-year-old forecast a knockout win in round four or five and stated he would derail the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly under discussion for two years from now.

"It will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul said.

Physical Difference

As Joshua and Paul engaged in the usual stare-down, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it emphasized just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is actually going ahead.
